There’s so much free content out there it’s easy to be reluctant to pay, but this product is totally worth it. A free podcast is only free if your time is worthless, whereas paying a little to make real progress is the best deal you can get. The app is well thought out and the versions of speech are very productive. The content is interesting which makes all the difference because it makes learning easier and gives a cultural foundation at the same time.

The French Today Library is a great tool, and incentive, to keep learning and improving conversational French. Topical subjects, i.e. Fete Nationale, les JO, as well as other interesting and useful information like commenting on vacation or movies. Clearly written, easy to follow text. A great investment in my French language learning.

Subscribing to the French Today audio magazine is one of the smartest things I ever did. Not only are the articles immensely informative, but listening to Camille is a great way to get used to listening to a French speaker. I am very grateful that she speaks as slowly as she does. I have used both settings, the Enunciated version and the Modern one and find the Modern one easy to follow. I was also pleasantly surprised to now have a full year of magazine issues, something I did not expect. What a treat!
French Today is the ideal place for an intermediate student to hone his/her language skills, with the audio magazine being the cherry on the cake.

My level of French is quite advanced (not wishing to boast here!), so that I can sustain a two-hour conversation with my French friend once a fortnight without resorting to English at all, and if I don’t know a word, I can explain it in other terms. At the same time, there is always room for improvement, and in my youth I had an ambition to be able to pass myself off as a native speaker. Alas, life got in the way!
So I was initially impressed with the content of Camille’s emailed hints and tips, especially the explanation of colloquialisms. As a result of this I explored more content on the website, and listened to a free sample of the Audio Magazine. Wow! I instantly realised that this was what I needed! For example, I heard, for the first time, the word “avoisinant.” I didn’t need to look it up – it clearly derived from “voisin”, so I understood it, and it dawned on me that what I needed was more elegance – now instead of saying “les maisons d’en face, ” or “les maisons a coté”, I could say “les maisons avoisinantes” – much classier!
I also appreciate the interesting content, and the range of topics, registers, and methods of expressing attitudes that this series offers, along with pitfalls – what not to say! So, I heartily recommend this audio magazine for intermediate to advanced language learners. Un grand merci!

Having recently subscribed to French Today’s Monthly Audio Magazine, I can say that I am hooked on it. It is like having a French friend who is also a world traveler, historian and good story teller. I can listen a few times to get the idea of the story and then, with the translation right there, I can reread and fill in the words and tenses all while learning about some new interesting place. It is fun as well as a great way to become accustomed to hearing spoken language in context of a delightful story.

I began my subscription to the magazine only about a month ago (at the end of December) and I’ve been planning to drop you a line to tell you how much I have been enjoying it. It really is excellent. I don’t know what superlatives to choose…. The quality and the standard are absolutely top/first rate. The topics and your treatment of them are all interesting. Your spoken voice, Camille, really is fantastic. You speak so clearly and … I don’t know how to say it…. with such terrific animation, intonation, enthusiasm. You should feel very proud and satisfied. I really congratulate you wholeheartedly.

I love this magazine! It’s so versatile for varying levels of French skill. You can just listen at normal speed, or at slower speed. Or read along. Or get an English translation. I used it to push myself in skill. Plus the articles are charming. We actually went to some of the places described on a recent trip to France.

I have recently subscribed to your Audio Magazines because I am spending winter in the UK.
The magazines are excellent for keeping in touch with the language and there is a good variety of subjects to make it interesting.
The ability to switch between enunciated and modern French is ideal along with the on/off translations for any new words.
A great product – much appreciated!

I am really enjoying the monthly audio magazine. It’s very interesting to hear about various places in France as well as different subjects – and the photos are great too. My time is limited and it’s great that I can easily find one of the articles to listen to when I am walking or doing cooking in the kitchen. The vocabulary range is quite wide in the stories so I’m learning a lot of new words and expressions. The magazine is a real complement to the various lessons in the courses. I’ve been avoiding focusing on the verb drills as I don’t like grammer – however, I’m starting to study those now and though they are difficult for me, they are the best drills that I have found to really learn the various verb forms.
