I was invited to visit a friend in France and so I started learning French through some apps but was not satisfied with the method. Then I found French Today and I was sorting of fascinated by the story and excited by the fact that I was actually understanding French. It is like a door opening to a whole new world. Let me tell you. I have never seen such excellent teaching materials of French language in my life! I have been trying to learn French for so many years since my teens. But due to my busy life style, the only thing I achieved was to learn its grammar. Can I speak French? Absolutely not! That fact has been really bothering me all through my life. It’s been killing me. So after my retirement, I decided to finally commit myself to learn speaking French. Wow, how many books and language apps and programs did I use??? How many YouTube videos did I see? Yikes!
Then I happened to come across ”French Today” while I was doing some research on French. I got very curious because this was different. I have never seen such precise explanations on French language, yet it was very practical, realistic and funny. And pronunciation teaching—wow, phenomenal ! I have type A personality and I need to learn things with detailed logic. French Today provides that. Yet, their method is so practical. That is so important to me. I knew I need to repeat the sentences a million times.
No other teaching materials offered that with wit and humor. But French Today does. I got hooked, because it is not painful. It is fun. It is so obvious to me that French Today helps me develop the skill of conversational French by making me develop “reflex” necessary to learn to speak. This reflex cannot afford too much thinking/analysis while I am conversing in French. But French Today really helps me to develop this process. Don’t take me wrong. It is not easy to dedicate myself to “conquer” this task, but I am now so determined with the help from French Today. So thank you so very much for your dedication to help so many people who want to learn French in the whole world!

I love French Today, especially the emphasis on spoken French. Understanding spoken French is the hardest skill to master and the fact that there’s two speeds helps greatly. I have all the intermediate level products and the emphasis on conjugate, conjugate, conjugate is great. I started studying French when I retired and between Alliance Francaise and French Today I feel very confident speaking French on my annual trips to France. Great products for anybody wanted to improve their French.

In these current times when money seems tighter than it was a few years ago, it is always harder to make a decision to purchase something. So it was with some caution, and with great research on the site, that I purchased the A moi series intermediate and French Verb drill. I need not have worried!
The quality of these are excellent and the pace is just right. I needed to revise my school day French which is why I explored this site, but I have learnt so much more than that – and I have stepped into the modern way of speaking French (a complete wake up call!).
What I really like is the spoken voice is so clear and easy to copy. There is plenty of material available and you are not left in the lurch. So often, language sites don’t give clear explanations and further research is needed, however, this is not the case with this course. Everything is very well explained. I will definitely be buying more material as I advance in my French – and I even went on to online the shop to buy a special mug for me and my husband to have our morning coffee! I would most definitely recommend this course as it is really exciting and very well thought out. There is also free material available with the audio series so there is the chance to give it a try before buying. I did that – and I didn’t get very far through the free material before I decided that ‘I must have this’! Thank you this excellent way of learning and revising French.

These packages are hard work but defo the way to go. The author is excellent in so many respects such as elocution, pronunciation, teaching knowledge, spoken french reality checks and encouragement.
It seems that the only possible recommendations I could make is to ask for some self-repetition (aloud) a bit where it would help memory and speaking practice.
The constant appearance of self promotion to a UK market with the costs so high, I think is off-putting but I’m no expert.
