Camille is a very intelligent language teacher.

She has an exhaustive knowledge of her native language French and together with a deep understanding of English, she has devised a rather clever new way of teaching French to English speakers.

I speak Australian fluently and am also fluent in Italian which I’ve been learning now for 22 years. Consequently, I have a fair idea of what I need to know, to be able to eventually speak French.

I have started to learn French from various teachers over the years but have found Camille’s method to be most effective for me.

I’m a happy self-learner and find it easy to spend 30 minutes 5 mornings a week learning French.

I love that Pause button and use it constantly…

Olivier her husband is a computer whizz, so it is ridiculously easy to download Camille’s audio books to any device you may own.

    Thanks Olivier!

I started by downloading a couple of her free audio books to see if I liked then, and I did. So, I bought some. Now I’ve bought her Pronunciation audio book and when I’ve finished that, I’ll buy her Verb book and finally when I’ve worked my way through those, I’ll buy her audio book on French numbers.

I have a rather uncomfortable feeling that by then, my French will eclipse my Italian…

On this note I have to say that Camille’s Audio Books are a more economical way of learning French than either private French lessons or even group French classes.

When you have downloaded one of Camille’s free audio books, an email then arrives regularly called “Unique French Tips”. These are insights into French culture and everyday language used by French people now and are constantly fascinating. She has a generous spirit.

I’m a very happy Vegemite having found Camille and French Today!

    Thank you Camille and Olivier.

    Best wishes to you both

I find it really helpful that the À Moi Paris books are centered around a continuing story that has real-life circumstances that the characters deal with. Using the story as a springboard for teaching French grammar makes it so much more understandable, and Camille’s organization and explanations are of the highest quality. I also like the way that I can download the books onto my iPhone through the French Today app, and how easy it is to listen to the story over and over again as I do housework, etc. so that it becomes ingrained in my mind. I highly recommend this series!

I have been studying and speaking French for over 50 years. I should be pretty good at it by now, right? However, I have not found an easy way to understand all the intricacies of the language until I came upon Camille and French Today. I thought I would start with Advanced. When I began listening, I became so interested in all the grammar points and modern French usage, that I purchased the Intermediate Level and am learning a lot! This is the most helpful program I have found over the years.
Also, my granddaughter, who attends a French Immersion school, loves Camille playing Minecraft. I would love to see more products for younger children. She is 8 and off to a good start, and can use more resources.

J’ai appris le Francais au lycee au Pays de Galles. Maintenant j’ecris en Francais afin que tu verras le niveau de mon francais. I give up, my keyboard does not like French. Thirty-five years ago I met a woman from Paris who helped me become reasonably fluent in French. (I live in Canada). Since then I have spoken only English and my French has got rusty. I can read straightforward French fairly easily. I am used to the Quebec accent but cannot understand the French on Quebec tv, it is so very fast, I get enough words to partly understand.
I do not much need your grammar and I’m afraid I find your stories rather boring. I some times read books in French on my iPad with a lot of translating as I go along. French books tend to have a lot of ideas and feelings expressed as well as the action. I have read some French translations of Ken Follett books for example but find them rather heavy going. I would like some books in French that were adult without being too difficult. I think your courses are very good for someone starting from scratch with the patience to go though all the drills.
One problem is that although my mind is good, I am quite ancient and live alone in a retirement home in Toronto, Canada and do not know anyone who speaks French. Maybe one day I will meet someone who does. You asked for comments many times and that’s my story. (Essay).

Very well thought out and interesting. Being so far from France, it’s difficult to speak the language as a native and this certainly helps. Now if everyone would just slooow down😁. However your audios are not too fast.- I just can’t watch a film and understand it. Keep up the good work.

This program is fantastic! Olivier and Camille have put so much thought and experience Into it; I can’t imagine a better program. I am impressed by many things including its thoroughness and ease of usage as well as Olivier’s commitment to address any technical problems. It makes a huge difference that they have lived in the US and speak English well. Chapeau, vous deux!

If you want to learn to speak the way french is spoken in France then these are the courses for you. For example, the phrase “Je suis” is not spoken as two words, but rather it is pronounced like, “shwee.” It’s the little things like that that make this course so good. The lessons are affordable and packed full of real life knowledge from an instructor with tons of experience teaching french.

I would start with À Moi Paris series. I’m learning at the L7-L8 advanced level; however, I find it’s helpful to go back to L3-L4 and L5-L6 intermediate levels to learn or reviewed what I missed from the distant past. In fact, even though the beginner’s L1-L2 are too basic, I enjoyed listening just to review and to work on my pronunciation and accent improvement. The story is compelling, and I want to keep listening for more. The study guides are outstanding because Camille focuses on the vocabulary, the grammar, the sentence structures. I so appreciate the various speed that Camille recorded so that I can start with the street French speed then go back listening at a slower speed to really study each sentence.
The fact that Camille and Olivier are French and are also American citizens, they understand both cultures and difficulties that we face when we learn French. Studying French Today’s audiobooks, I feel as if I have a private teacher on a one-on-one basis because it seems that Camille can read our mind.

I have tried over many years to be able to speak and understand French but I have made more progress since I purchased French Today than the last few years. It’s a clever way to learn and you can stop and start when you feel like it, picking up the stories where you left off.
    Highly recommended.

I started learning French with French Today a few weeks ago, having tried other methods. I have to say, it is the best method I have tried.

The strong emphasis on how French is actually spoken is invaluable and the A Moi Paris Method is fun to use. Already I’m understanding more when I watch French TV and films. The cultural tips, I’m sure, will also prove very useful, once travel becomes easier again post-pandemic. As well as the audiobooks, Camille also provides lots of extra free lessons.

Studying French with French Today is an absolute pleasure.
