I’ve been enjoying Camille’s weekly emails for years and finally took the plunge a month ago and am really moving on fast and enjoying the process with just 30 mins or so per day. Although I live in France now and can understand the basics, meaningful conversations are very limited. I’m finding that continued repetition of the story dialogue is sinking in to my old brain and the study guides and exercises compliment this really well. After much dithering I’m glad I started at the beginner level as it reinforced what I already knew and will be a great foundation as I progress. What is great is that I am learning SPOKEN FRENCH, that sounds obvious but because as Camille recommends I’m rarely using the English translated option increasingly I’m thinking in French – wow! By the way all the techy stuff works fine too which is a refreshing change…. So thanks a lot to Olivier and Camille

I have purchased the whole À Mois Paris series plus the verb drills series and Mastering Conversation audio book. I find the whole program extremely well done. The lessons are short enough so that one can spend a little time each day practicing. The explanations are very clear and the fact that one can listen to the audio in different speeds very helpful. The trick is to be disciplined to actually do the lessons several times a week. I would recommend this program to anyone who is interested in learning French.

Precisely what I have been searching for; I’ve been studying French for years now but have always struggled with actual real-life conversations.
A Moi Paris levels 1 and 2 have been an incredible help and I realise now why I’ve never been able to understand spoken french – French people don’t speak the french we’re taught in school!
I can’t wait to progress further and learn from the intermediate and advanced audiobooks.

I studied French at school many many years ago, and took it up again when my son married a French girl, so that I could communicate with her family and my grandchildren as they grow. I used a few learning sites, but found I was often very frustrated at the inadequate grammar explanations. I came across frenchtoday when seeking answers. I downloaded Camille’s free audio book, and was impressed enough to buy the first two books of A Moi Paris. I have just bought French Drills and downloaded her French Fairy Tales. The work and knowledge of how a language is acquired which Camille has put into these lessons is admirable. I shall acquire more of these books as I need them.

As a small aside, a lesson discussing music inspired me to listen to a few French singers. I love Zazie.

So a huge thanks to Camille, and her husband Oliver, who ensures that these lessons play seamlessly for a complete techno twit. Merci beaucoup

First of all some background. I’m originally from the UK and studied French for several years at high school. I progressed to a level where my reading comprehension was quite good, but my French conversation and grammar skills remained very elementary. Now, many years later, I am determined to become proficient in all 3 areas. I checked out Babbel, FluentU, Duolingo and Rosetta Stone. They all have their benefits and many proponents, but I’m not looking for a quick fix. My primary goal is to be able to conduct effective conversations by learning to think in French, and eliminate the need to continuously translate back and forth. My secondary goal is to be able to write in French, with correct grammar, verb tenses and syntax. This will be a long-term commitment for me. After completing the “First Encounter” free audiobook, I decided that French Today was the best choice for me to meet my goals, and I went “all-in” and purchased the full set of 8 À Moi Paris levels, together with verb drill, adjectives, etc. To date, after 2 months, I am very happy with the progress I am making. I have just completed Level 2 out of 8 and my understanding of French conversation is steadily improving, and I am learning lots of useful dialogue and expressions. Having these lessons delivered by a native French speaker speaking in modern conversational style is a great preparation for “real world” conversations. I will update this review as I progress further in the program.

Great method of learning. The storyline is great practice for speaking the language and goes at a very good speed. Camille really knows her stuff, very informative.
The Classic French Tales are also great!

It is my pleasure to submit a review about À Moi Paris Method, the Beginner audiobook! I am a beginning student of French. I use a couple of free online apps, but they can only go so far. I discovered Camille about a year ago and have found her an excellent resource for learning the French language. I first purchased the Secrets of French Pronunciation. It is very helpful in learning the particularities of pronouncing French words. I even recommended it to a friend who is quite fluent in French and she found it VERY helpful. :-) I recently purchased the Beginner audiobook and Secrets of French Conversation and am currently working my way through the audiobook. I appreciate that Camille uses different methods to engage students–“tests,” repetition, and the excellent “stories” that give me the opportunity to see how well I can understand spoken French (AND she provides the stories in three different levels of speed: slow, so you can hear each word pronounced correctly; medium, so you can practice listening to a more normal conversation; and “street French,” which is SO fast! But you need to practice listening to how real Parisians speak!).

I highly recommend these audiobooks! I also love getting Camille’s emails! Each paragraph is first in French, then in English, so I try to interpret the French before I read the English. I’m getting better! This is an awesome product from some very kind people. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

    Merci beaucoup, Camille and Olivier

As a retired academic, I’ve been muddling along trying to find good resources to learn enough French for travel. Most of the packages I’ve found tended to be tedious, and apps more on the game side. French Today was a wonderful find, mixing naturally progressive content with explanations on French grammar and pronounciation, incorporated in a technically sound app with realistic scenarios and excellent audio. The ability to slow or speed the narration is an excellent method to grasp the sound of the language and adjust to the appropriate learner level. Includes common French usage as well as modern adaptations. A fantastic series, with multi levels and options for more specific content areas in other packages.

I absolutely love listening to Camille! She speaks with such great intonation that I understand almost every word, and that is exciting! I discovered Camille by listening to The Earful Tower Podcast – and I’m so glad I did.

This method was designed especially for me and I thank you both for that: the course itself and the technology.

I started learning French in the 70’s when I lived in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver but always lacked confidence to speak it and of course, it was not necessary then in Montreal. Today, it is very different.

I enjoyed 6 weeks last year summer in Quebec City and knew I had to find the right Course to enjoy more summers there.

I feel that I will make progress with French Today because of Camille’s detailed program and enormous help in understanding written vs spoken French. I also enjoy hearing her speak so beautifully. It is definitely motivating. The Study Guide in Chapter 13 was extremely helpful among other lessons. I am new to it again but I can comprehend better what is being explained after such a long absence.

I am challenging myself to start L3 and L4 by Dec1.
