With a pending move to France, I must learn to speak conversational French!
As many beginners searching for the best program, book, or app is confusing and frustrating. After buying 3 books, downloading several apps/programs, and attending in-person classes, I was even more frustrated.
Then I found French Today. French Today has changed my world! At a beginner level, this program has been incredible. I can work at my own pace, repeat/review material as needed, and finally feel I am making progress.
As an individual with dyslexia, I often require alternative learning approaches, such as more visual aids or additional time to process information. Unfortunately, the class format ($500 US) did not provide these accommodations. Additionally, the 2.5-hour class was beyond my comfort and attention level. I grasp concepts better in shorter segments. This is where French Today shone. I’m able to tailor the course to my comfort level and not feel overwhelmed.
I highly recommend trying the free audiobook and the free lessons. After I completed those, I downloaded another audiobook to continue my educational growth. I wish I had started here first!

I’ve completed the L1-L2 series and am reviewing them before proceeding to the next level. I’ve really enjoyed the program and recommend it highly. The lessons are focused, instructive and fun.
