Camille gives very clear and easy to understand explanations. Her guidance as to which sounds in French are silent and which ones are pronounced helps enormously. As she says repeatedly French is virtually two languages, the written and the spoken and as a native English speaker that is not always an easy concept to understand but as she points out English is full of similar complexities. As a student of French for the past few years things are finally starting to gel and it has become clear to me that it is the sounds we need to concentrate on and the grammar rules are there as a guide but just learning the rules doesn’t make you fluent. Camille’s advice to listen and repeat is way more helpful in the long run than learning by rote.
