I wanted to say that I very much enjoy your audio books. I recently bought the story about the Ventoux. I like the way the stories are presented, the different speeds of reading, the questions and answers after each section and all the helpful tips and tricks that Camille includes all the way along. It is great to hear the story at different speeds and then be able to read it with or without the translation to check on how words are spelt and details of grammar.

I bought this resource to supplement some other excellent resources from French Today. I am delighted with the content, the layout and the learning experience from all these resources and I am enjoying the experience. En une mot – fantastique !

I have completed the first 3 chapters of my new audio book. I consider myself to be at intermediate level for French. I am really enjoying the story with its scenic descriptions, interesting conversations between the friends and there is a lot of new vocab for me. The links to extra resources are also helpful. This style of learning with your audio books and magazines is both enjoyable and effective.

I am a long-term user of French Today’s audio books and the accompanying tuitional material.

Having what some consider to be the worst of accents (Australian), I have found the reinforcement of modern French pronunciation and usage exceptionally useful to help my interactions with French people.

I invariably listen to the “street” version that Camille records and have also used most of the À Moi Paris series. Camille’s clear expression is always a delight. As usual in these books, Camille and Olivier have used a background story or theme that allows one to listen to, and practice, real world phrases, expressions and idioms in an entertaining context.

This particular story has been particularly enjoyable for me both as a cyclist and lover of Provence, where over the years I have spent more than a few months enjoying the sights and receiving tuition in French.

Le Géant de Provence of course dominates the landscape in the region where this story takes place. It is rightly celebrated in the cycling world.

I feel that Camille has beautifully captured the ambience of the region and its towns in a manner to greatly assist students of “La Belle Langue” with visualisation to go with the words.

    Unreservedly recommended.

I just finished Une Semaine au Ventoux. It was like going on a little vacation, since I have not been to that part of France. I loved learning new vocabulary about cycling and hiking, not to mention food and wine production. Camille’s poetic descriptions of the impressive landscapes are new and quite interesting. After every chapter, you can click on a link that will take you to photos of their trip and even a video. This feature really brings the story to life.

I have studied French for many years. I have enjoyed almost all that French Today has to offer. This most recent one: Une Semaine au Ventoux, I am taking slowly and ‘savoring’ it. It is advanced and that’s what I want. Mostly there is only vocabulary after. But, a great treasure at the end of each chapter, is a link to extra thematic vocabulary, which I’m sure has been offered in the past, even for free. But I never took the time before and it’s a great power builder; particularly with a few accompanying videos that Camille has recorded. I look forward to future ‘opuses’ of hers as I rarely have had the opportunity to fly to France.

This was amazing. I still struggle to read real French books but this was so relaxing and gave me confidence while still teaching me new words. The way you describe the setting and the colors is so beautiful and inspiring. And I really appreciated the online resources where I could see real photos of the beautiful location.
