I’ve been studying French off and on for about 60 years. Ok mostly off. When I finally stumbled upon French Today’s approach, I made real progress toward hearing with understanding and speaking with facility. This is how we normally learn language. Try it. It works.

I honestly think I’m going to be able to learn French this time.
The book is well structured, and understands and anticipates the problems a native English speaker would have in becoming fluent in the language.

I wish I had discovered this sooner in preparation for my upcoming trip to France. Brilliant method. Listening on the slow speed gives clarity and helps greatly with pronunciation before moving onto the normal speed. I will continue with the program in anticipation of my next visit to France!

Although I am not really a beginner, I seem to have learnt French with lots of gaps in my knowledge, especially of grammar.
So I decided to start with this beginners book.
I can honestly say that it is very straightforward and I feel to be learning in a structured way. Yes, for me, I can whip through much of it quite quickly but it would work very well for a total beginner too and its really interesting as well.
Altogether I am more than happy that I bought this.

This is going very well for us. We’ve tried two or three other language learning courses in the last twenty years but they didn’t stick. In one of them they used the reflexive ‘we’ construct but without explanation so we were sitting there scratching our heads and saying, “Nous Nous??!? What does that mean.” After your explanation we’ve been experimenting with its use, running what we say back through a translator and watching it come up with what we intended. That’s positive reinforcement!
Your different speeds are very useful. I’m sure many people trying to learn French would rank being able to understand where one word ends and the next begins as one of the biggest problems when trying to understand spoken French. After doing the same part of the story in gradually increasing speeds we’re *starting* to develop an ear for it. Thank you for your focus on the spoken language. I’m far less concerned about spelling than I am about being able to converse.

I am a retired Australian now living in France since 2019. I have been spending 30 minutes per day learning French with a popular online program. My written vocabulary is improving greatly. I am a visual learner. However, I am frustrated because I have a lot of difficulty understanding spoken French. This is especially embarrassing because my wife’s mother tongue is French and I am missing out on many conversations.
Recently, I was searching online for an explanation for the correct use of savoir-versus-connaître and discovered this link:
https://www.frenchtoday.com/blog/french-verb-conjugation/savoir-versus-connaitre-to-know/ and bingo, the lights went on.
I downloaded the ‘À Moi Paris’ free audiobook and thought this could be the solution for my audio comprehension. It is early days yet, but so far so good. I am enjoying À Moi Paris very much and I am making excellent progress. The stories in modern French are helping me understand what is being said and to correct my pronunciation.
I look forward to the day when I can watch and understand French movies with my wife. Merci beaucoup French-Today!

I take my hat off to Camille and Olivier for inventing this course. My French has improved exponentially, and I look forward to starting the Intermediate course. I intend to revise the beginners’ course 🤗, and the verbs🥵! It’s a refreshing way to learn, and my understanding and enjoyment French series like Lupin and Spiral has increased. Even though the characters use slang and speak fast!
To anyone thinking of joining, do. It’s ace!

I purchased the full series of À moi Paris towards the end of last year and have since bought the accompanying exercise books. I am not a beginner but decided to get the full series for the sake of completeness and am very glad that I did. I have only just finished the first book plus exercises, repeating every sentence after Camille and trying to copy her pronunciation and intonation as closely as possible. I’m never going to sound like Camille but my spoken French is definitely much better than it was. In addition, I have found the storybook to be an excellent method of learning and retaining new expressions and vocabulary and of absorbing grammar in an enjoyable way. The app is excellent and makes it really easy to work through the audiobooks, and I appreciate the different settings that allow me to vary the speed and style of speech, so that I can practice writing as well as listening and speaking. Camille and Olivier have clearly put a lot of love and hard work into creating this method and I thank them for their efforts and wish them every success.
