Level adapted (A2 to B1) short form audio stories/articles
Want to access a vast library of interesting articles and stories on a variety of French and France-related articles that you can listen to while driving, exercising or walking the dog? Our French Audio Article Library is perfect for that!
Each article is written to a A2/B1 level and, like most French Today content, is recorded at 2 different speeds: once slower and enunciated, the other at a modern speed as you would hear French people speak.
It also features a full transcript with a hide-able English translation (so you are not tempted to ‘cheat’ 😉 and many photos.
This is our only subscription-based offer, and you can get access to more than 100 articles on a wide variety of subjects from day one. We add 4 articles each month to keep the content fresh. Think of it as your Netflix to level-appropriate fun French content.
Level adapted (A1 to B1) long form audio novels
If you are looking for more long-form content, the Une Semaine A series is what you were searching for all along.
These bilingual audio novels are created to be both interesting and to expose you to new vocabulary and French expressions while keeping you in the context of a story adapted for your French level.
We have 5 Une Semaine A audio novels available. They follow some of the same characters spending a week in different regions of France. You experience with them typical everyday situations as well as region-specific activities (like visiting a museum in Paris, renting a bike in the Mont Ventoux or visiting a cheese maker in the Alps).
Each audio novel is written to a A2/B1 level and features a lot of dialogs and situations that you, as a visitor to France, would experience. You learn new vocabulary and expressions as well as discover a region. It’s like a holiday guide book mixed with a novel!
As most other French Today content, is recorded at 2 different speeds: once slower and enunciated, the other at a modern speed as you would hear French people speak. It also features a full transcript with a hide-able English translation that you can refer to if you need to read a particular word or phrase.
Want a little extra work? Each chapter of the story ends with a Q&A of 20 questions to test your understanding. It’s optional, but it’s a good way to test your understanding of the story and more subtle vocabulary/expressions.
