I would start with À Moi Paris series. I’m learning at the L7-L8 advanced level; however, I find it’s helpful to go back to L3-L4 and L5-L6 intermediate levels to learn or reviewed what I missed from the distant past. In fact, even though the beginner’s L1-L2 are too basic, I enjoyed listening just to review and to work on my pronunciation and accent improvement. The story is compelling, and I want to keep listening for more. The study guides are outstanding because Camille focuses on the vocabulary, the grammar, the sentence structures. I so appreciate the various speed that Camille recorded so that I can start with the street French speed then go back listening at a slower speed to really study each sentence.
The fact that Camille and Olivier are French and are also American citizens, they understand both cultures and difficulties that we face when we learn French. Studying French Today’s audiobooks, I feel as if I have a private teacher on a one-on-one basis because it seems that Camille can read our mind.

After living in France for 4 years, doing my master and PHD, and returning back to England, trying to keep up and improve my French, I have tried different methods and ways, and to my delight, your method is the most successful, it really works, in the sense that it trains you to speak and understand (normal) French, not books’ so French.

I have really enjoyed working my way through these Audiobooks. The storyline is interesting and the dialogue is totally realistic of how real people speak French. I can practice trying to commit to memory certain phrases that might be applicable to me the next time I’m having a conversation in French. I can listen when I’m driving in my car, walking my dogs or studying with the audiobook on my iPad as I look at the text – all good ways to practice listening and comprehension and to improve your vocabulary.

I am very impressed with the French Today audiobook that I purchased recently. I’m currently working my way through “À Moi Paris L5 – Upper Intermediate”. The detail and examples provided by Camille are very helpful. They helped to cement the relevant grammatical rules into my memory. I also enjoyed listening to the story of Mary, Sophie, Claudia and Patrick in French.
While watching Camille’s videos describing her life in France, she strikes me as a “real person”, not just as an instructor following a script. That’s one of the differences that attracted me away from products such as Rosetta Stone and Babbel to French Today.

I have valued the complete FrenchToday series — using the beginner level as an excellent review and progressing through the intermediate levels to develop comprehension, enhance vocabulary and speaking ability. The stories and characters are interesting.
What is especially unique is the FrenchToday App which integrates the pdfs and MP3 in a very user-friendly way so the focus is on learning not on managing technology.

The course is fantastic in many respects. It’s amazingly well structured and every phrase in each story is useful in everyday conversation. The lexicon of each chapter is enriched to its highest potential. The study guide and the questions and answers section reinforce the learnt material every step of the way. The grammatical points are exceptionally well explained. The audio recordings are priceless! Except for À Moi Paris, I had a few other books from French Today and today purchased the last two levels of À Moi Paris. I am so glad I ordered the French today audio books. I walk every morning for exercise and use the time to “study” French along with Camille. Although I studied French a very long time ago in high school and college, I decided to start at the beginning with Camille and am so glad I did. I feel like, for the very first time, I am making progress with a proper French accent and I increase my comprehension with every lesson. In addition I am learning for the first time very helpful aspects of grammar and vocabulary that I had never seen before in any studies – such as when to use “jouer a” versus “jouer de”. I am looking forward to some day being able to visit France again and enjoy being surrounded with all things French, and I will definitely be better prepared thanks to Camille.
