I love using A Moi Paris Level 2. I just complèted French Beginning 3 at a fabulous school in Minneapolis–Alliance Francaise. I start Beginning 4 this week. I also meet with a tutor once a week where we work on conversations–A Moi is so very helpful in this regard. When I complète each chapter in the audio book I print out the lesson so I can practice in another way. I turn off the translation so I can focus on the French and on my listening skills. I also pause the recordings to write what I hear to see how close I am to the spoken word–quite a humbling endeavor! I am going to a French Immersion program in Sancerre, France in September–thinking that I will do a session with French Today next fall!

I am in France now on my first immersion trip at Belle Isle en Mer. I found the info through Frence today. It is truly an experience of a lifetime. J’adore la France ! I have purchased the first four books in this series and they are invaluable. Camille’s explanations are clear. She and Olivier want you to be successful. I love this series of audiobooks. The options for their use are really convenient. At first I was using the English translations as I listened and read the story. Then I progressed to hiding the translation while I listened and read the story. Now I am listening to the story and checking my understanding. The learning activities at the end of each chapter are very helpful. I have been told that my pronunciation citation has improved greatly since I have been using this series. Well worth the money.

The story-line is good and progresses well. The study guide is very accurate and helpful. One thing, I don’t understand why the Q&A precedes the story…doesn’t make sense to me :)

Really happy with FrenchToday. Keeps my interest, has useful conversations (although an older traveler rather than student, would like more conversations along that line) and explains grammar rules clearly. The freebie emails are a great bonus. A lot of information and time for the money.

I learnt basic French in school many years ago and always wanted to learn it so that I could speak it fluently. I have been learning French since just before Christmas and enjoyed the Free Audi book so much that I decided to invest in the Audiobook series. Camille teaches in such a friendly way that it makes you want to do your very best. I like the way she explains everything in full so that it all makes sense. I also subscribe to the Newsletters which are also really interesting in that there are stories about different towns in France and their customs also a little bit of history. I have checked out several courses but have found this one to be by far the best. Merci beaucoup Camille, Olivier et Leyla.

Camille is indeed a gifted teacher and a gift to French learners as well, esp to those who are learning it as a second language. I immigrated to Quebec from India – an anglophone country, as a professional and learning French was a prerequisite. So I attended French classes at Alliances Françaises for 6 months and was able to clear my immigration interview. But I know I just managed to pull it through because at AF they avoid English as a plague and many of my questions remained unanswered because ofttimes I could not relate things I already knew in English and re-learnt them in French. If I were able to do that it would have definitely reduced the pressure of learning a lot and would have rather reinforced the concepts more firmly. Please do not think I am finding fault with their methodology, I am simply giving my impressions of their style and method which perhaps was not suitable for a person like me. Thus an interface (English) was scrupulously eschewed which could have made French-acquisition easier and more fun! But Cammille has used that interface very skillfully and successfully chez French Today. I thank her, her husband and the entire team of French Immersion teachers who have collectively put up such a beautiful site which could truly be called a French learner’s paradise! Their blog articles are absolutely wonderful. They are extremely relevant to ‘la vie quotidienne française’ and are a great tool to learn French culture. Her audio books are masterpieces, with the accompanying audios recorded at different speeds being an icing on the cake! Her books (I am about to finish the second in beginners’ ultimate pack) take 5-stars hands down! I have already purchased lower and upper intermediate packs and will come back to post my reviews for them, too!
