After initially purchasing the starter bundle for a moi Paris I have since purchased the first intermediate bundle and a verbs bundle.
I have lived in France for several years and can read and write in french quite well – the big problem has been the pronunciation and understanding french spoken by French people.
The approach adopted in the various courses is starting to address the pronunciation issue and my understanding of spoken french is now improving.
I have recently discovered the YouTube blogs and these are an excellent supplement to the courses – with the french subtitle option being a huge bonus – for he first time I have confidence that I might actually be able to understand french speakers.

I discovered French Today through one of my favorite podcasts, The Earful Tower (Salut, Oliver!). I’m an avid Francophile – I studied French from middle school through college, lived in Annecy briefly after graduating from university, and am married to a Frenchman. I’ve always felt that my reading and comprehension in French was fine, but struggled with my confidence when it came to writing and speaking off the cuff (I’m sure other students can relate, as classroom experiences are completely different than real-world conversations). I used to approach practicing my French with feelings of guilt and dread, thinking I should do it more, be better at it, and have perfect pronunciation. I decided that I needed to change my negative and self-judgmental approach to practicing French, and I purchased French Today’s Level 1 and Level 2 Audiobooks to start. I spend 30 minutes each day working through the stories and exercises; they are a great refresher of vocabulary and phrases and I learn new slang as well. I feel like French Today’s format is educational, engaging and fun! I plan to keep purchasing and studying all of the levels. I bought the À Moi Paris Audiobooks Series 1 and 2 and the French Verb drills. Both are excellent. I learned French a long time ago (at school and University) but had forgotten everything .. toute la grammaire, le vocabulaire et les verbes! I am “back at the beginning” learning French but the audiobooks would be good for more advanced learners as well. I can recommend learning with French Today.

Superb! Once you start learning French, you quickly learn that most teaching methods leave you stranded…in comprehension help. With the 3 speeds of audio in the audiobooks, you’re guaranteed a speed that will match (or closely match) what you need. Also, I’ve found it’s important to include daily living examples (as in Camille’s stories), so that you know how to talk to a French person, when you get that chance.

I am slowly working my way through the ‘À Moi Paris’ series starting with level 1. They have helped me with listening comprehension and vocabulary building more than any other method I’ve tried. The study guides are also excellent and complement the audio. I think French Today has the best method for learning to speak French fluently and I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to understand spoken French and speak it themselves with the correct pronunciation.

I was recommended this book by one of my colleagues. I think it’s a very good book for beginners considering how audio is the driving factor of the learning method. “Street French” aspect was something I found very helpful as it reflects the modern day french. I did struggle to keep learning from the book on a daily basis but when I complemented learning from the book with other materials such as music, movies, I started to gain more fluency.

I am a volunteer teacher to a group of age 60 plus women who are taking a beginners course in French. After doing some research on methods of teaching I have found A Mon Paris audio series to be the best way of learning a new language.
Our class is enjoying following the continuous stories in the different speeds, slow, normal and Street on the audio each week.I feel this is a fantastic way to learn the correct pronunciation right from the very start.
I have also been receiving the French Today newsletter for a few years now and have encouraged my class to become subscribers themselves as I’m sure they will find it very beneficial to their study as I myself have found..
My group feel that it’s never too late to take on a new activity and are having fun whilst studying the French language.

Even though I’m currently on Level 4 in the series I am happy to have been able to return to Level one as it is a totally different and refreshing experience than the one I had many years ago when I first learnt French in High school

Having lived in France for just over a year I have at last found a method of learning that works great for me. I came here from Ireland to live with my French wife and struggled with the language to the point where I wondered if I would ever master it, but thanks to Camille, I am filled with belief and enthusiasm again! I can speak enough broken french to get by and can understand when people speak slowly and simply so I was uncertain what level to begin with. Having started at the basic beginners level 1 I am glad I did. Things that I half understood I now get completely and have already improved the structure of my sentences, vocabulary and conjugations even if only in the present tense. My confidence in speaking has greatly improved but most of all my understanding of what other people are saying to me has improved.
I have spent nearly 10 years trying to learn french with free methods online (the kind that promise fluency in 4 weeks) and wish I had had the foresight to begin here. In my opinion the audiobooks are worth every penny and I look forward to the day I finish the last of them, with this beautiful language and culture opened up to me. Also the blog and emails that I receive every week are brilliant , full of interesting observations about french culture( I always wondered why my wife would never pour the wine!) The authors approach is very effective. She mixes multiple dimensions into the learning approach. Books are recorded at different speeds, and the street French option is very useful to learn how real French people actually speak. The exercises between chapters are useful as well. I have read level one 3 times and I am amazed and energized to be reading French! Thanks Camille !

I’ve been learning French on and off for years and I’ve never got to the point of being anywhere near fluent. After looking at the weekly emails with all the great tips from Camille I decided to go back to the beginning of my French studies and start over with purchasing A Moi Paris. I can’t believe that this is the first time I’ve come across Street French – no wonder I’ve always had great difficulty understanding the French used on television and films!
Even revising a lot of basic French Camille has given me more relevant information on spoken French than in all the text books I’ve studied over the years.

I had been studying French at an adult education school one day a week for 5 years and not making much progress. Many other students feel the same. Now, using the French Today course from the beginning, I have far better listening and speaking skills. The story is interesting and enjoyable. And the grammar is simpliy explained. I’m not computer savvy but it is so easy to use. I only wish I found French Today sooner.
