My name is Anne-Elisabeth, and I have been welcoming international guests to France for many years as a host family, and since 2018 as a language coach. Through these experiences, I developed a deep interest in language learning and cultural exchange.

An Observation
Over the years, while hosting international students who were studying French at language school in Montpellier, I noticed the frustration some students experienced when I occasionally couldn’t understand them.
A Desire
I wanted my students to feel completely satisfied with both their homestay experience and their language program in France. But how could I make that happen?
A Solution
In order to create a more meaningful experience and effective learning environment,I decided to become a French language coach and I graduated from the Alliance Française with a certification in teaching French as a foreign language.Since then, I have gained several years of experience teaching French to students from all over the world, including expatriates integrating into life in France. I then developed personalized French immersion programs with individual lessons tailored to help students improve their French and make rapid and meaningful progress. Whether it’s listening comprehension, speaking skills (with a strong focus on pronunciation), writing, or reading, my programs are designed to address your unique goals.
Your French immersion is not only about tailored lessons but also experiencing French culture in a truly authentic way. One of the highlights? Sharing delicious meals with Michel, my husband and favorite chef. His culinary creations will immerse you in the flavors of France, making your stay both memorable and delicious.
With me as your guide, you will also discover the charm of the historic city of Montpellier and its beautiful surroundings. From its cobblestone streets and iconic architecture to hidden gems off the beaten path, you will discover the best of the region.

My teaching approach
I am happy to teach French to the whole family: to you, to your teenagers and even to your younger children! As the testimonials show, I have experience with all types of audience. It is out of the question to impose on my students a ready-made programme . When I was simply hosting guests who wanted to improve their French, they complained to me that the language centres weren’t adapted to their needs.That is why I decided to be a French language course and propose personalized individual courses.Together we will take the time to define your programme. It will be adapted to your needs and wishes. That's what a coach is all about: you are the actor of your success. They simply help you to achieve it. As a result, there will be rapid progress in learning French.
Do you want to express yourself confidently in spoken French?
Many learners watch French series and naturally pick up expressions along the way. The real challenge, however, is knowing which level of language is appropriate in different situations. French varies depending on the context, relationship, and the setting. Choosing the right register is key to sounding natural, respectful and confident.
I will not help you develop a polished and nuanced French, that can be adapted to your personal style as well as your social and professional situations. Rather than focusing on slang or overly informal speech, we work on a form of French that is natural, relevant, and welle received in everyday, real-life situations. Of course, I can explai informal or colloquial expressions when you encounter them, so that you undestand when (or if!) to use them.
I believe that a touch of politeness and a slightly more formal approach is always a safe choice.
For example, using "vous" where "tu might be acceptable, is never a problem, as people will simply invite you to switch. However, the opposite can sometime feel inappropriate. Learning the nuances of the language as well as the culture will help you navigate the language confidently.
That’s why I’ll always guide you in understanding language differences and help you adopt the right words and expressions for each situation. I use a lot of role-playing exercises to put you in real-life scenarios and push you out of your comfort zone. You will learn to express your self in a variety of contexts: daily life, social exchanges, and even professional situations.
If this method feels a bit intense, don’t worry! We also take time for more relaxed conversations, always adapted to your rhythm and goals.during your French immersion program and discovery of reusable learning methods at home.
My French Immersion Program
3 hours of French lessons per day from Monday to Friday. They usually take place in the morning but can be in the afternoon depending on your daily activities. My immersive homestays match all your needs and wishes. Are you interested in scenic landscapes, in gastronomy or in sports ? This is a personalized program for you in terms of activities and courses so as to meet your expectations and help you in understanding French. For professionals, I will be able to help you communicate in French for your professional or private needs or prior to your expatriation in France. Thanks to my former professional background in management and finance, I can help you boost your vocabulary, learn the workplace culture and feel at ease orally in each professional situation. Please note that you accommodation is suitable for a couple, a family or two friends. One bedroom room is equipped with a queen size bed or 2 twin beds depending on the fon the composition of your family. A two-week immersion program is a great way to improve your French and discover Montpellier and the surrounding area. Again, please note that I am happy to teach French to the whole family: to you, to your teenagers and even to your younger children! Our house
Our house is located near the hectic city centrer of Montpellier : 10 mn by tram to the city centre of Montpellier (Place de la Comédie). Our house is located in a quiet area with a garden.
Your Accomodations :
You Private guest flat is located on the 1st floor within the house with a private entrance. It has been renovated and is nicely decorated. It is fully equipped with two bedrooms with a double bed, access to wifi, two armchairs to read, and a “bureau” and another bedroom.

I recently completed a 5-day French immersion with Anne-Elizabeth and it exceeded my expectations! It was truly one of the most rewarding experiences of my life!
From the moment she picked me up at the airport, we spoke only French. And even though I was SO nervous at first, after having spent so many years out of practice, she was patient and kind and corrected me all along the way. She really helped to build my confidence in the language.
Our morning lessons were centered around real conversation — sharing my story, discussing what I did during my free time. Through our conversations, she identified mistakes I was making and areas of improvement, and she corrected me in real time, and then built lessons around that. She’s a wonderful teacher.
What really stood out was her warmth and hospitality. Lunches with her and her husband were so enjoyable, and she also took me around to show me parts of town. One day we went hiking, which was one of my favorite memories of the week!
I arrived nervous, but I left with confidence and a much stronger grasp of the language. I’m very grateful for this experience and highly recommend it!!!

Ma troisième expérience d’immersion et la meilleure à ce jour. Anne-Elisabeth et Michel sont des hôtes fantastiques et avoir notre propre appartement privé était un luxe agréable. La situation proche de l’ancien village, de la rivière et de toutes les commodités (y compris le tramway) était un autre avantage inattendu.
