Bonjour! I’m Inès, a 30-year-old French teacher living in Anglet, between the ocean and the mountains, in the heart of the Basque Country. I welcome adult learners who want to experience French in a natural and authentic way.
I live with my partner, Charles, in a calm and friendly environment. The atmosphere of the immersion is relaxed and human, where conversations happen naturally and French becomes part of everyday routines.
This immersion is about living French as it is spoken and lived in France, through real moments, shared time, and meaningful exchanges.
My French Immersion Program
My French immersion program is designed to help you live French as it is spoken in everyday life, in a natural and supportive environment. The immersion combines structured lessons, daily interactions, and local experiences.
French is practiced throughout the week, through individual lessons, conversations, shared moments, and activities. This balance allows you to make steady progress while enjoying a meaningful cultural experience.
Staying in Anglet, between the ocean and the mountains, also makes it an ideal destination for one or two weeks, or longer, depending on your availability and goals.
Flexibility and Adaptability
Every immersion is fully personalized. You usually benefit from private French lessons in the morning, adapted to your level, needs, and objectives.
The schedule remains flexible and can evolve depending on your interests, the weather, or the choice of activities and excursions. Lessons can be adjusted to allow for a morning activity, a full-day outing, or additional French practice if you wish.
Each program is designed together with you, so that it truly fits your rhythm, expectations, and the flow of daily life.

During lessons, I use a variety of authentic materials such as conversations, texts, videos, or real-life situations, so that French is always connected to how it is actually spoken. I aim to explain things clearly and simply, and I take time to adapt to your questions, pace, and way of learning.
I enjoy working with a wide range of topics related to daily life, culture, and society, and I always adapt the content to what interests you, so that learning French remains meaningful and engaging.
A Typical Week of French Immersion
Arrival – Saturday
Arrival usually takes place on Saturday. This first day is dedicated to settling in, getting to know each other, and discovering the surroundings at a relaxed pace.
Sunday – Getting into the rhythm
Sunday is a gentle introduction to the immersion. It may include conversations, a walk, or a first local discovery, allowing you to get used to hearing and speaking French naturally before the lessons begin.
Mornings (Monday to Friday)
Mornings are generally dedicated to French lessons, adapted to your level, needs, and objectives. Lessons usually take place at home, but depending on the day, we may also work in a quiet place outside, such as a café or a library, to vary learning contexts.
Afternoons (Monday to Friday)
Afternoons are more flexible and focused on everyday French practice. This may include shared moments at home, local walks, cultural discoveries, or small outings, depending on your interests, the weather, and the rhythm of the week. Full-day excursions are also possible when appropriate.
You are also free to enjoy some time on your own, rest, or explore the area independently.
Meals
Meals are part of daily life and offer many opportunities to practice French naturally. Depending on the day and activities, meals may be shared at home or adapted to the schedule. Occasional meals outside or picnics are possible (cost not included).
Saturday – Departure
Departure usually takes place on Saturday morning.

I live in Anglet, right between Bayonne and Biarritz. It’s an area where different atmospheres coexist, between ocean, towns, villages, and nature.
Bayonne is very much part of everyday life here. It’s lively and local, with markets, cafés, and a strong food culture. Chocolate is part of its history and still very present today.
Just a few minutes away, Biarritz offers a different atmosphere. It feels more open to the ocean, with long seaside walks and a rhythm that changes with the seasons. I like the contrast between these two cities, and the fact that Anglet sits quietly in between.
Nearby villages like Espelette also shape the region through food, habits, and everyday traditions that you naturally come across.
What I like here is being able to move between different atmospheres, and to discover both French daily life and Basque culture in a very natural way.
Your French Immersion Homestay Accommodations in Anglet, Nouvelle-Aquitaine
You stay in a private bedroom in my apartment in Anglet, in the Basque Country.
The apartment is shared with me (your French teacher) and my partner, Charles. You have your own bedroom, and we share the rest of the apartment.
It’s a real home, not a guesthouse or a school residence. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The living room and kitchen open onto a beautiful terrace overlooking the forest. We often spend time there when the weather is nice: eating outside, reading, or simply enjoying the quiet.
The apartment is well located between Bayonne and Biarritz. The beach is about 7 minutes away by car and around 15 minutes by bus, making it easy to enjoy the ocean during your stay.
Only one person or one couple stays at a time. There are no other students and no rotating guests.
Living here is part of the immersion. French is simply part of everyday life, in conversations, meals, and daily routines.
This stay is ideal if you’re comfortable sharing a home and looking for a personal, calm immersion experience.
