I am a retired Australian now living in France since 2019. I have been spending 30 minutes per day learning French with a popular online program. My written vocabulary is improving greatly. I am a visual learner. However, I am frustrated because I have a lot of difficulty understanding spoken French. This is especially embarrassing because my wife’s mother tongue is French and I am missing out on many conversations.

Recently, I was searching online for an explanation for the correct use of savoir-versus-connaître and discovered this link:
https://www.frenchtoday.com/blog/french-verb-conjugation/savoir-versus-connaitre-to-know/ and bingo, the lights went on.

I downloaded the ‘À Moi Paris’ free audiobook and thought this could be the solution for my audio comprehension. It is early days yet, but so far so good. I am enjoying À Moi Paris very much and I am making excellent progress. The stories in modern French are helping me understand what is being said and to correct my pronunciation.

I look forward to the day when I can watch and understand French movies with my wife. Merci beaucoup French-Today!

I take my hat off to Camille and Olivier for inventing this course. My French has improved exponentially, and I look forward to starting the Intermediate course. I intend to revise the beginners’ course 🤗, and the verbs🥵! It’s a refreshing way to learn, and my understanding and enjoyment French series like Lupin and Spiral has increased. Even though the characters use slang and speak fast!
To anyone thinking of joining, do. It’s ace!

I purchased the full series of À moi Paris towards the end of last year and have since bought the accompanying exercise books. I am not a beginner but decided to get the full series for the sake of completeness and am very glad that I did. I have only just finished the first book plus exercises, repeating every sentence after Camille and trying to copy her pronunciation and intonation as closely as possible. I’m never going to sound like Camille but my spoken French is definitely much better than it was. In addition, I have found the storybook to be an excellent method of learning and retaining new expressions and vocabulary and of absorbing grammar in an enjoyable way. The app is excellent and makes it really easy to work through the audiobooks, and I appreciate the different settings that allow me to vary the speed and style of speech, so that I can practice writing as well as listening and speaking. Camille and Olivier have clearly put a lot of love and hard work into creating this method and I thank them for their efforts and wish them every success.

I thought this was an excellent and gentle introduction to the French language. There is a good mix of grammar (I would say specifically verbs), vocabulary, and other topics, like the weather. I love that there are three speeds (slow, normal, and street) when reading the stories; this has helped me a lot. I would recommend this to anyone looking to embark on learning the French language!

Clearly enunciated stories make it easy to follow. We find street French perfectly understandable.
    Exercises well structured.
Very glad we purchased this and my husband, a complete novice, would recommend the French Pronunciation download as very useful.
I like the regular chatty newsletter emails.

Using Camille’s audio books and other resources from French Today I have made more progress to understanding spoken French and responding in French than all the other methods I have used including 3 years of college. For me, the resources at French Today have given me a study method I that can stick to and do on a habitual basis. I like the drills that reinforce the lessons and these has put me on the path to reach my goal of being a French speaker much faster than even using a private tutor. Let’s not forget the blog and the regular newsletters that appear in my email. These are wonderfully personal stories that keep me motivated to progress on my French every day. Thank you!!!

I had been studying French for about two and a half months before stumbling across the French Today product “A Moi Paris Method – Beginner”. In a manner of just a few days, I was shocked at how well I was able to ratchet up my French reading and listening comprehension. It’s actually addicting. You don’t want to stop reading and enjoying the product. It is simply the best French program I have come across. It is a great value for your money but more importantly your time. Every minute you spend studying translates into furthering your confidence in the French language. I couldn’t be happier with the product. In fact, after buying the first level I also invested in the verb drill sets and that has paid off in spades. Thank you all so much for developing such a beautiful product that genuinely helps one gain confidence in learning and speaking French.

I’m so glad I found French Today. The audiobook is elegantly designed, easy to use, fun, and full of information. I love how the program can be set to open automatically when I log on to my computer. I can adjust the speed of the audio, pause and go back easily, hide the translation… So many great features. And Camille’s voice is lovely. (I’m very picky about that!)

The extra tips and instruction that arrive by email are an added bonus, and the customer service is excellent.

    French Today– c’est parfait!
