My weakness in my French conversation is my lack of speed with recognising the larger numbers. By the time I’ve worked out what the number is, the conversation has moved on. This audiobook has really helped me to identify which numbers cause me the most grief and the explanations and drills have really helped me improve my understanding of numbers. I would have given it five stars except that I think it lacks one very important section; that of practice in hearing historical dates. I would have loved to be able to drill on that so that when I’m listening to a historical excerpt, that includes the years when things happened, I don’t get tripped up by failing to understand the date. Often the context changes completely depending on the year that something took place, and if you don’t understand that, you lose the point of what is being said.
