Excellently presented, easily absorbed and fun! It’s great to get beyond all the schoolbook stuff I had to memorize and learn some REAL French. Bravo Camille et Olivier!

French Today is a unique way to learn French. I am now up level 5 on A Mois Paris. The continuing story of the three girls keeps you interested. What I like are the Study Guides after every chapter that are relevant to the chapter you are reading and also at the right level for you. Give the sweet blogs from daughter Leyla a try, which have an authentic look with small corrections from ‘mom’, A bonus of French Today is the constant improving and updating the site and everything on the site always works, with IT it is not always the case with many sites. Finally the site has a great ‘family feel’, which of course is exactly how it is run. Geoff

I would like to thank you for the great learning tools you offer. I have purchased Six of your French Audio Books and am looking forward to your eight installment. I find the audio books easy listening and have them on in the car whenever I go anywhere. They have taught me a lot. I have tried most of the other providers such as Rosetta Stone, Michel Thomas, Pimsleur etc, and can say from experience, although they can be useful in wrote learning they are outdated and do not teach the way french is spoken today. Can I also say how useful your newsletters are, they are very informative giving insight into the little nuances of the french language. Keep up the great work. Kind Regards – Dean

First I found the audio booklets of poems that Camille did years ago, which I loved. In fact because I was intrigued by the difference between the French and the English translation, I found myself studying French poetry in a way I never had the patience for English poetry. Then I decided after two years of Duolingo, it was time to finally really learn the irregular verbs. The verb drills were so much more useful than any text because hearing the way the verbs are spoken is crucial to using them properly. Then I went on to A Moi Paris book 5. and it too is a really effective learning tool. I use the “street french” speed, although I stop and start a lot, just to get the feel for the way the language is really spoken. Thank you French Today for doing such a good job!

There are not enough *starts* to indicate the greatness of this resource!

I have been following Camille’s audiobook series from the beginning, recently adding levels 5 and 6 to my ‘bookshelf’, and I am really enjoying the progression. Compared to some of the lower levels, which ‘teach’ specific grammar structures (e.g. verb tenses, agreements, use of various pronouns, direct/indirect objects, etc), level 6 has a greater emphasis on vocabulary and expressions, while making use of the grammatical features that should already be familiar. What I particularly like about this series – in addition to the engaging story and characters – is that I can return to each chapter on many different levels. For example, I often listen to a chapter or two while walking the dog, using it largely as comprehension (in which case I don’t get too concerned if I don’t catch every nuance, so long as I can keep up with the gist of the story). Then I try to return to the topic in a more rigorous and studious manner later.

I use these audiobooks, the French Today website, and blog to supplement French classes that I have been attending for the past 18 months or so. On numerous occasions, if I am unsure about a particular language construction, I’ve found the answer is addressed in this content with a simple and practical explanation. I can’t recommend this series highly enough.

About the best there is for gaining the ‘ear’, the cadence and timing tuning one’s ear to a realistic conversation in French.

I have used multiple levels of the Audiobook Series and find them to be very useful. They are current, engaging and fun and are a great resource for anyone learning French. I thoroughly recommend them – indeed I’ve used most of the audiobooks (verbs, dialogs, prononciation and rate them all very highly.)

I have subscribed to the entire audio series through number six, and the two audio books, “ A week in Paimpol” and, “A week in Paris”. My learning level is intermediate. I am thoroughly enjoying the entire audio book series. The stories are interesting enough to not feel bored. The lessons by Camille are succinct and relevant while covering a great deal of material. I recommend this series for all learners of all levels. A word about the integrity of the French Today author and team. They have been nothing but sincere, responsive and courteous in all my dealings. A small rebate was returned to me for my audiobook series, after they announced a flash sale of the products I had just purchased. They stand by their money back guarantee. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of all of their products.

I bought Levels 5 & 6 – both excellent products. The audio clips are great for improving listening skills and practising spoken French. The whole package is full of useful language tips from grammar to usage; in fact they cover practice in all essential language skills. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this series.

I love FrenchToday’s blog and the audiobooks! Camille really understands the questions English learners have and is able to teach a lot of new phrases and vocabulary within the right context by using stories. It is extremely helpful to have both the slow and street French recordings to listen to, as well as all the transcriptions. I have learned so much and I feel my French is becoming more natural as I hear the dialogue within her stories (especially since I lack a community of French people to learn from). Camille has a beautiful diction in the recordings as well and is a pleasure to listen to!
