I love listening to this audio book while I am doing something boring like ironing! You can repeat each chapter as many times as you like, then read the transcript if you want to. I did seven years of French at high school and find this level just right for me. There is lots of explanation of grammar and exercises for those who want this, but for me the enjoyment is simply in listening and understanding. I usually listen to the same chapter several times before I look at the transcript. Maybe one day I will get down to some more serious studying and make use of the grammar sections, but I love the flexibility of approach that allows me to use the materials in a way that suits me at the moment.

Finally a resource which focuses effectively on modern French conversation. The ability to alter the speed of delivery and the content which is relevant to daily life both contribute to its value. This audiobook is fantastic! I had done “grammar book learning” for years, and it just is not as effective (or enjoyable) as real-world conversation learning! On top of that, Camille is a thorough, clear teacher, who really leverages her bilingual abilities to her learners’ benefit.

As a teacher myself, I thoroughly recommend this audiobook. It teaches you the French that the French speak! The topics are relevant to real life so you learn the vocabulary used in modern everyday life. Camille’s teaching approach is very sound – no gimmicks but helpful tips and suggestions for retention.
I also love the newsletters, so full of useful and very interesting stuff about French customs, language etc and invaluable learning tips. I do look forward to receiving them.

Highly recommended. In my case, I’ve used the A Moi Paris books as a way to revive and strengthen the French language skills I had when I was younger. I find the series to be very engaging and interesting, and also very effective at cutting to the chase and focusing on the key principles of grammar and structure that are necessary to speak and understand the language. And it does so in the context of a very engaging story — Camille is quite the writer! The method also exposes you to the current idioms and expressions that are an integral part of everyday speech in France. I’ve taken a lot of French classes in my life, and this method is easily the most effective (and fun) of any of then.

Camille has a lovely musical voice and pronounces words clearly. I enjoy
listening to the audiobooks. They are well structured and the quality is excellent. It is very helpful to have the recordings at 2 diffrent speeds of speaking.
Even if you are not interested in learning french, I would recommend her books because it is such a pleasure to listen to her speak. I love the sound of the french language, which is why I wanted to learn it.
Oliver has made accessibility of the audiobooks super easy. I listen to them while I am driving to work.

I love French Today’s teaching method. Camille is such a great teacher and author. Olivier is amazing in providing support and answering any questions in regard to audiobooks or technical stuff I may have. The program is so user friendly. It’s a joy to listen to Camille’s voice on my daily walk which gives me the practice and repetition I need.
Lately, I paused my advanced lessons as I can’t seem to make good progress. I’m stuck on the chapter of ‘Boeuf Bourguignon de trois jours’, lol. I’m so glad there’s a recipe and can’t wait to try it.

I found the recordings to be excellent. It was a very crisp French. (I only listened to the modern French; the slower version was painful for my ears, but I have studied French for several years.)
The vocabulary and idioms were very helpful and realistic; my congratulations to whoever wrote the text.
The story is woven together in a way that keeps your interest.
The narrator pauses and changes her voice enough to convey that this is a convesation.
