Emilie – Philippa & Shehan & Anusha review
Emilie is patient, funny, organised, intuitive and a really great teacher!
Our ten-day stay with Emilie and her family in their wonderful home near the Pyrenees was an incredible experience. Not only did our French improve, but we ate well, slept well, and laughed a lot!
The surrounding countryside is stunning; we felt at peace as soon as we arrived. There are picture postcard views from the terrace and lots of great walking tracks in the area.
Emilie’s husband David and their delightful daughter Myrtille are also great company and happy to help with French instruction over meals or on outings. there were the “structured’ outings but we were also welcome to go with Emile to her various activities. We enjoyed a morning at Oô for the “Benédiction Des Troupeaux” then a hike and lessons at the gorgeous Lac d-Oô, drinks at a local beer garden, a yoga class, bread making at a local chateau, the dungeon and petanque at Aurignac and there were offers of more!! We felt extremely welcome at all times.
Meals, prepared either by Emilie or by David were delicious; our likes and dislikes were definitely catered for.
Emilie was happy to structure lessons to suit us – formal/informal, inside/outside etc, and had lots of ideas to make the learning interesting. She managed our three different levels admirably – it can’t have been easy!
Emilie is passionate about her work, about exchanging ideas and experiencing other cultures. An immersion with Emilie and her lovely family is a complete immersion
