Au / En For Seasons in French ?
Although all the seasons are masculine in French, to translate âin+seasonâs nameâ in French, the preposition will change:
Why do we use âau + seasonâ or âen + seasonâ? Because of the vowel (or silent h, hence vowel) which starts âĂ©tĂ©, automne, hiverâ. You will also have a strong liaison in French with the N of the âenâ.
