  Chapter 1: Invitations by Telephone

  Our story begins as Mary just asked her parents the permission to continue her studies in Paris. Her friends decide to celebrate this good news by going to a restaurant. In this chapter, we will study phone related vocabulary.

  Chapter 2: Evening at the Restaurant

  In this chapter, Mary's friends meet up at the restaurant. We'll study the vocabulary of vacationing and hobbies.

  Chapter 3: A Typical Day

  In this chapter, we'll follow the girls as they go through their daily activities: their morning routine, their habits and what they study at the university. Note also the vocabulary on sleep, hair and makeup, school. This chapter has a lot of vocabulary, covers many different themes, it's a bit more advanced in French, so don't hesitate to consult the translation.

  Chapter 4: Grocery Shopping

  The girls go grocery shopping. This chapter focuses on spoken and colloquial French: the ne disappear, the pro- nouns become shorter and become the first sound of the verb, there are a lot of glidings. Note the vocabulary for food.

  Chapter 5: A day at Work

  In this chapter, we'll follow Claudia and Mary at work, and will study vocabulary related to the restaurant.

  Chapter 6: Departure to the Countryside

  Patrick and Mary are in the car, driving to Patrick's brother's house. Note the vocabulary on cars and directions.

  Chapter 7: Weekend in the Countryside

  Patrick and Mary are spending the weekend in Arnaud's house. They'll talk about the projects to remodel the house; we'll study the vocabulary of home improvement and gardening.

  Chapter 8: Arnaud Got Hurt

  Arnaud got injured as he was working on the house. In this chapter, we'll go over the typical medical questions one is being asked at the hospital.

  Chapter 9: Cooking Risotto

  The girls invited Rosa and Grégoire for dinner, and he is going to prepare his famous risotto. We'll study cook- ing related vocabulary.

  Chapter 10: Risotto Night

  During dinner, they talk about their families. We'll study the vocabulary of family, physical appearance and personality.

  Chapter 11: Computer Breakdown

  In this chapter, Mary's computer breaks down, and we'll go over computer terms.

  Chapter 12: At Monceau Park

  Grégoire meets up with Rosa, her nephew and her niece for the afternoon. We'll study the children related vocabulary.

  Chapter 13: In a Fancy Restaurant – First Part

  Patrick and Mary are having dinner in a very chic restaurant. In the next 2 chapters, we will study in depth the expressions and vocabulary you will encounter at a restaurant, as well as ways to comment on food. Please refer directly to the translation for the dish translations, since I will not list them all here. In this first part, Patrick and Mary choose a table, and order their food and wine.

  Chapter 14: In a Fancy Restaurant – Second Part

  In this second part, Patrick and Mary start to eat, and comment on the food (how French of them...)

  Chapter 15: The World is Mine!

  Mary and her grandmother discuss about life and life choices. We'll cover the vocabulary for big life stages.
