I teach French one-on-one to adults of every level, and focus on developing your confidence in interacting in today’s modern French.
My motto is "communicate first". I am an experienced bilingual teacher who likes to chat and laugh and will boost your confidence in speaking French. I will help you talk, I'm good at it, but I also know all the rules of French and will correct your mistakes, and explain them to you clearly.
My lessons focus on preparing you for real interactions in modern French, by improving your language skills as well as your cultural knowledge of France. I offer a very flexible French learning program, and will adjust my teaching to your learning style, always keeping your personal goals and needs in mind. I will offer my honest feedback on progress made, and you’ll see that with my professional guidance and encouragement, you’ll soon be speaking French with confidence.
No matter whether your French lesson is on the phone or via Skype, I make extensive use of Instant Messaging to write the words or sentences we talk about so that you not only hear them but also read them as your French lesson progresses.
About me:
Born and raised in Paris, I then taught French to adults for 16 years in Boston, and developed a unique teaching method along the way. In 2009, my family and I moved back to France, where I carry on my private lessons over the phone, and develop reachable audio tools for French students.

Some of my students are total beginners in French, and I integrate the necessary grammatical structure into conversations on everyday topics.
With intermediate students, we mostly chat: being able to talk about your life and ask/answer questions fast is a must when you interact in French.
With advanced French students, we often use novels or movies to create more challenging conversations but I will always follow my student’s interests: some students love to study songs, or poetry, or need to pass a French test...

Your French study plan: how it works.
French Lessons are available Mondays through Fridays (sorry, no weekends) from 9AM to 5PM (France, time - mornings in the US) and I charge USD 60.- (45 Euros) for each 55 minute lesson.
We’ll set up one or several ongoing weekly French lessons, and I’ll call each week at the agreed upon day(s) and time(s). You may cancel a session with 36 hrs notice, and terminate our agreement anytime with 2 weeks notice.
Can't commit to weekly French lessons? No Problem!
If you cannot commit to a regular weekly time, then you can be on a “floater” schedule; you send me an email when you’d like to take your French lesson, and according to both our availability we schedule it.
