How do I teach French?

camille_photo_jardin.jpg

My motto is "communicate first". I am an experienced teacher who likes to chat and laugh and will boost your confidence in speaking French. I will help you talk, I'm good at it, but I also know all the rules of French and will correct your mistakes, and explain them to you clearly. My lessons focus on preparing you for real interactions in modern French, by improving your language skills as well as your cultural knowledge of France. For more info, read reviews from my students.

First, let me introduce myself; my name is Camille Chevalier-Karfis. Born and raised in Paris, I then taught French to adults for 16 years in Boston, and developed a unique teaching method along the way. In 2009, my family and I moved back to France, where I carry on my private lessons over the phone, and develop reachable audio tools for French students.

Worldwide Lessons via Phone & Skype

I teach every level, and focus on developing the confidence to speak. Here is how it works: lessons are held Monday trhough Friday, 9AM to 5PM (CET, Paris, France, time - mornings in the US) and I charge $50 for 55 minutes. I will call you (on your land or cell phone line or Skype) and either we'll text at the same time, or I will send you an email with vocabulary words and notes at the end of each lesson. If you have homework, you send it to me via email (or text) and we'll go over it together. Read reviews from my students.

Private Lessons in Bretagne

gogoIf you live in the Côtes d'Armor region, or if you are around for vacation, you could be like my student on this picture, sit in my garden and take lessons with me in person. I can arrange for semi-private or group lessons. And if you cannot make it to Brittany, do not despair, I also offer phone/skype lessons to the world :-)
