Visite à Honfleur - part 2
24 Sep 2009 Written by John C.
Une aube magnifique à Honfleur
« Crack, gling-gling-gling! »
Tip for Berthillon's ice creams
21 Sep 2009 Written by Camille Chevalier-Karfis
If you are near Nôtre Dame, you cannot miss the famous Berthillon ice creams. Made with all natural products, their ice creams are the best I have ever tasted, my personal favorite being "fraises des bois" (a tiny variety of wild strawberries that have an incredible taste) - but I hear their black chocolate is also amazing...
The problem however is no matter what time of the day you go to their "salon de thé" or their main boutique, you'll have to stay in line for... 20 minutes at least. Well, don't despair...
Arrivée à Laurélie - 2 - find and correct the mistakes exercise

Part 2 of the story...
My high intermediate phone student Dianna just came back from a trip to France. As an assignment, I asked her to write about her trip. We've decided to share this assignment - which will extend over several posts - and make you benefit from her mistakes.
1- See if you can spot the mistakes in this text:
On a commencé à conduire à Laurélie.
Do you know the difference between un bistro and une brasserie?
11 Sep 2009 Written by Camille Chevalier-Karfis
Bistros are usually pretty casual neighborhood restaurants that offer French cuisine. They serve lunch and dinner at fixed hours; noon till 2:30-3PM for lunch, 7:30PM till about midnight for dinner.
